My feet are ticklish.
For some people, their feet can be rather sensitive; however, the pressure we apply avoids that sensation.
I have heard that reflexology hurts.
In some cases, you may experience a tender spot that needs attention. A little extra pressure may be used to release the blockage.
You can ask the therapist to reduce the pressure if it feels too uncomfortable or if the pain is too much to bear. We want the best for you and for you to enjoy the session.
Do I have to remove my clothes to have reflexology?
The only clothing you need to remove is your socks and, of course, your shoes. Wear comfortable, preferably loose clothing at the foot's end to help push them up a little.
How many sessions are needed?
This will depend on the individual's needs. Some may need regular weekly treatments at first, then wean them down to monthly sessions.
Some have monthly sessions to maintain their wellbeing, whilst others may have fortnightly sessions.
Are essential oils safe to use?
Yes, essential oils are safe to use, provided you follow the directions given. We do not endorse the internal use of essential oils unless for a specific issue and in accordance with the Aromatic Medicine training guidelines.
I am pregnant. Can I have reflexology sessions?
It is recommended to have sessions after the first trimester; however, you can have reflexology to help with associated symptoms such as morning sickness and nausea.
If unsure, check with your doctor or midwife.
Reflexology can certainly help alleviate many other issues, such as sleeplessness, backaches, high blood pressure, oedema, and more.
There are some contraindications:
Threatened pre-term labour,
Pre-eclampsia.

Reflexology doesn’t cure MS; however, it can ease the pain, relax the body, reduce stress, improve circulation and provide comfort.
